Anna Selden
Instructional Assistant, Committee on Environment, Geography and Urbanization (CEGU)
Anna earned her bachelor's degree in Art History and Near Eastern Languages in Civilizations from the University of Chicago in 2024. With her B.A. thesis centered on exploring gender, the body, and dress practices in Lydian material culture, Anna's research interests include identity formation and representation in the ancient Mediterranean and the preservation of cultural heritage in the modern Middle East and Mediterranean. She is also interested in ancient colonization and human relations with the environment in the ancient world. Anna's professional and research experiences include museum work, GIS research, and archaeology, and she hopes to pursue a doctorate in art history and archaeology.
In her free time, Anna practices yoga, dances, reads, and enjoys discovering new movies and music.
