Ava Hedeker

Project and Communications Intern, Committee on Environment, Geography and Urbanization (CEGU)

Ava is a third-year double majoring in Environment, Geography, & Urbanization and Inquiry & Research in the Humanities, minoring in Architectural Studies. Growing up in Chicago, she is interested in helping the city achieve environmental justice through strategies such as increasing access to public transit and green space. She is part of the Divest UChicago project group at Phoenix Sustainability Initiative, the board of Energy & Climate Club, and is co-leading an urban design research project at Paul Douglas Institute. In her free time, she enjoys running, playing tennis, thrifting, journaling, and urban hiking.
